Our values define how we do things.

PwC is one of the world's leading professional services organisations. From 158 countries, we advise some of the most successful organisations around the globe, as well as the most dynamic entrepreneurs and thriving private businesses, to create the value they want. We help to measure, protect and enhance the thing that matter most to them.

We believe in our employees
At PwC our culture drives our success and gives us a sustainable advantage, and we want to create an environment where our employees feel empowered to work in a way that works best for them and help them become the best that they can be. To support our flexible environment we have evolved our dress code policy to "dress for your day". This policy reflects the trust we have in our employees to decide what they think is appropriate given their daily responsibilities.

Kerri joined PwC straight from school. Everyday her career surprises her.

Kerri joined PwC straight from school having completed her Maths, French and Spanish A-Levels. Everyday her career surprises her.
"In the beginning, going to work for one of the big four in an office of over 2000 people you think you’re just going to be another member of staff. But the team I work in couldn’t have been more welcoming to me and the others I joined with. Within a matter of weeks I felt like I’d always worked there."
It’s that level of support which has helped Kerri finish her CFAB qualification in under two years and become a valuable member of her team. She’s even received direct client feedback praising her individual efforts.

Changing the percecption of Actuaries

Mark has been steadily taking his Actuarial (IFoA) exams which will see him qualify in a few years time.

As an Actuary, Mark provides advice to a range of clients from the general insurance industry.  This advice could cover solvency issues, economic capital, risk management, mergers and acquisitions, company restructuring and de-risking. As part of his client work he provides advice on financial modelling, underwriting, legislation and the efficiency of reporting processes.

Our Actuarial teams across the UK work together for many of our clients. This means wherever your base office is, you’ll be working on clients from across the country and across all industries. Some of our main Actuarial clients are in the banking sector (retail and investment), the healthcare sector, the public sector, as well as corporate clients from non-financial service sectors, including energy and utility provider.
