Meet some of our team

Mo Umerji, Customer Experience Team Manager

“Customer Experience is all about improving what the people we serve think of us as an organisation which, to me, is the most important thing. The way we achieve that is to put ourselves in the residents’ shoes, let them know that their complaints are being listened to, and put things in place to resolve the issues they bring to light.

“One thing that stuck out to me when I first arrived was just how inclusive everybody here was. I spent my first few weeks shadowing which was productive because it eased me into the role. It certainly is busy and fast-paced, but that’s the kind of working environment I enjoy. It’s important not to become stressed out or despondent at the complaints coming in – it’s better to see them as an exciting opportunity for improvement.”

Allison Burgess, Supported & Agency Services Coordinator

“Being on the frontline, you have to do your best for the community and the residents. It’s vital to have an interest, and to be passionate about helping people across the board. We provide a valuable service as it gives people the opportunity to have a home and to be supported. Also, it promotes the voices and the individuality of our vulnerable residents, supporting them to be a part of the community and removing past stigmas.”

Jumai Gukas, Neighbourhood Coordinator

“I started at PA Housing in 2014 as a Resident Involvement Officer, which I enjoyed. I joined the Neighbourhood Team in 2016 and I love being out and about regularly in Cobham and Hersham.

“I assist residents to set up groups within their neighbourhoods, and I mentor and support them along the way to improve the areas they live in.”

Lucy Hill, Tenancy Solutions Apprentice

“This apprenticeship almost seems made for me! I like a challenge, and in this role, I work on totally different cases every day which always keeps things interesting.

“It's definitely the best job I've had so far! It’s important to keep building your knowledge, influence, and confidence and I can’t overstate how much PA have helped me to achieve that.”
