Understanding the new D&I regulations in the financial sector
WEDNESDAY 27th of MARCH 2:00PM

The FCA consultation paper, CP23/20, focuses on diversity and inclusion changes in the financial sector. The PRA’s consultation paper, CP18/21, outlines diversity and inclusion considerations in PRA-regulated firms. Since the announcement of the end of the consultation periods, D&I has most definitely moved up the agenda for many employers in the financial services sector.

Join VERCIDA and leading voices from the UK’s finance industry, including Lloyds, BNY Mellon and Brit Insurance, for a discussion on what the consultation really means in practical terms, what steps organisations should be taking now and how to bring about meaningful change within an organisation through D&I. We will also hear from Dentons, the global law firm, on compliance with the new regulations and what financial organisations can expect.

VERCIDA has been supporting leading financial services firms for many years and is ready to support your business should these proposals become law. Top employers are already having meaningful dialogues to bring about cultural changes and a successful promotion of D&I in the workplace.

Although the Consultations only closed in December 2023, and regulators are expected to take most of 2024 to review the feedback before issuing the final regulatory requirements, organisations should be making preparations today and understanding their true diversity gap.

We will discuss each element of the FCA Consultation:

From integrating non-financial misconduct on issues such as bullying, sexual harassment and discrimination into fitness and propriety assessments for individuals performing a Senior Management Function
How HR teams can demonstrate an evidence-based D&I strategy
What obstacles you can expect and how to mitigate these
How to combat under representation of certain groups within the current organisation - from entry level to the boardroom
What are the GDPR considerations around collecting, tracking and processing candidate and employee disclosures of protected characteristics
